Magdalyn 9 months

I'm a few weeks late on this, but I wanted to get the cruise blogged before I moved on to anything else. Magdalyn turned nine months on January 15th. At her appointment she weighed 17 lbs 10 oz and was 27 inches tall. She is growing steadily, a little bit at a time. Kalianna was 2 lbs more and 2 inches taller at this same age. It's funny how kids even grow differently! Magdalyn started out bigger than her sister, but has stayed at a small, steady pace. Whereas Kalianna started out smaller, but would take huge leaps on the growth chart.

Magdalyn 9 months. They are so sisters!

Magdalyn has five full teeth in right now, with the promise of a few more in the next little bit. I love her toothy smile! She grins at me all day long, from the moment she gets up in the morning. She is still a super chill baby, very go-with-the flow, but she is also very determined. She wants to crawl So Bad! She can get up on her hands and knees, she's been doing that for a couple months now, and she can go from laying down to sitting up and vice versa. She also has started scooting on her belly to get places. But she gets super frustrated that she can't figure out crawling. She also wants to be on her feet the majority of the time. She can hold on to things and stand up on her own now, but she doesn't have the greatest balance yet, and tends to tip over, stiff as a board. That gets her really frustrated too. She sees big sister running around and doing things and you can just tell, she is dying to join her!

Magdalyn loves trying new foods! Real foods. And as of this last month, no more acid reflux! Hurray! We're finally done with the meds! Some favorites include cantaloupe, bread, crackers, cucumbers, goldfish crackers, mac & cheese, apple slices, carrots, and today she tried ice cream. She loves trying out all those new teeth! As of this month, I am completely done breast feeding due to the new teeth (she would not stop biting). I think she really likes that she can drink as fast as she wants from a bottle too.

She is turning into a Mamma's girl, just like her sister. Lately she has been wanting my full attention all the time. She doesn't care what I am doing, as long as she is on my lap, on my hip, or at my feet playing with toys, then she is perfectly happy.

Here is a fun video of Magdalyn lately, just being her cute self. She loves playing in these beads that separate the kitchen and laundry room. She does not enjoy her saucer or jumper as much as she used to. Most of the time she prefers to be on the floor so she can move around.
